About Aeternitas
Medicine that starts before something goes wrong
Aeternitas is a physician-led longevity and precision medicine practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. We find your biggest health risks early, explain them in plain terms, and turn them into a plan you can keep for years.

Why Aeternitas exists
Rescue is not prevention
For years, Dr. Corey Helton worked as a hospitalist. He met patients on some of the hardest days of their lives: a heart attack, a stroke, heart failure, a complication of diabetes.
Across roughly fifteen hospitals in four years, the walls changed but the disease stayed the same. Most of what he treated was not sudden. It was the late result of risk that had been building quietly for years, often decades.
The chance to change the story was ten to thirty years earlier. The patterns were already visible in blood work, imaging, and daily life. They were just not treated as urgent.
Aeternitas exists to work in that earlier window. We look for what is most likely to shorten your life or your independence, and we start on it while there is still time, capacity, and choice.
Meet the physician
Dr. Corey Helton, MD
Founder and physician. Board-certified in family medicine.
Dr. Helton grew up in Suches, Georgia, a small mountain town with the smallest public school in the state. He graduated in a class of twelve. His family doctor practiced the old way: one physician carrying three and four generations of the same families, making house calls, trusted completely. He has measured medicine against that standard ever since.
He trained in family medicine, the specialty built to think about the whole person across time: family history, behavior, prevention, risk, and continuity. Years in hospital medicine then showed him what it looks like when that kind of care arrives too late.
Part of the story is personal. When he and his wife, Cait, were in their early twenties, her LDL cholesterol came back at 326. The advice was to wait and see. That answer sent him deep into the biology of cardiovascular risk and how much the early decades matter. It also showed him how often patients are left to become their own advocates.
Aeternitas is his answer: a practice that measures risk earlier, explains it clearly, and holds one plan for a person over years, the way that small-town doctor did, with tools he never had.

“What I most want to give patients is something few people ever receive: a clear, organized understanding of their own health, and a plan built around the life they are actually trying to protect.”

What we believe
The beliefs behind every decision
These are not slogans. They decide what we test, what we recommend, and what we refuse to do.
- Risk builds for decades
- Heart disease, diabetes, and dementia do not begin the day they are diagnosed. They begin years earlier, in numbers that are still easy to change.
- Survival is not health
- The system is very good at rescue. We are built for the years before rescue is needed: strength, clarity, and independence for as long as possible.
- If we cannot explain it, we do not do it
- Every recommendation is grounded in evidence, explained by mechanism, and tracked with data. No testing for its own sake. No panic.
- Your mind is part of the plan
- How you handle stress, safety, and change shapes your sleep, your choices, and whether a plan holds. Emotional health is clinical, not extra.
- A plan must fit your life
- Identity, work, family, and meaning decide what is realistic. We read those as closely as we read a lab report.
- You should understand your own health
- We share our thinking openly: what the results mean, which levers we can pull, and what the trade-offs are. Decisions are made together.
How we work
A structured method, not a single big day of testing
One big day of testing produces numbers. It does not change what happens to you. Risk builds slowly, so the work of lowering it has to be steady too. That is why we put the same tools inside a method that ranks what matters, turns it into action, and comes back to check. Every assessment is complete on its own. Membership carries it through the year.
/ 01
Discovery
We learn your history, context, and goals before we measure anything, so every result is read in the right light.
/ 02
Precision Health Evaluation
Labs, a physician exam, and functional testing set an objective baseline. Depth depends on the assessment you choose.
/ 03
Strategic Health Plan
A written plan that ranks what matters most. You always leave knowing what to do next.
/ 04
Active Care
Guided execution with physician oversight. Support across exercise, nutrition, and emotional health is defined by your membership.
/ 05
Progress Checkpoints
Structured follow-ups review results, adjust the plan, and keep momentum as life changes.
/ 06
Annual Reset
A year-end review of trends and priorities that sets up the next cycle on stronger footing.
Numbers only matter if someone turns them into decisions, and then checks whether the decisions worked. That is the whole job of this method. It is how a good test result becomes a better tenth year.
How we read your results
Every result is read three ways: what is true today, where it is heading if nothing changes, and how much room you have to change it. That is how we decide what to treat now, what to get ahead of, and how fast to move.
How we execute
First we orient around reality. Then we build capacity. Then we sustain what works in a way that fits your life. Small actions, repeated, change the long arc of your health.
Core values
What we hold ourselves to
Three of these are promises to you. Three are promises to each other. All six are written down because a practice is only as good as the standards it keeps when no one is watching.
- Longevity Mindset
- We act today for decades of return: prevention, consistency, and habits that compound over time.
- We play the long game.
- Precision Science
- Every intervention is grounded in evidence, explained by mechanism, and validated through data.
- We do not guess. We quantify.
- Educated Agency
- We give patients the knowledge and tools to act decisively on their own health.
- Informed patients make disciplined choices.
- Continuous Learning
- We challenge our assumptions and refine our methods to stay current with the science.
- Progress requires humility.
- Elegance in Experience
- Every encounter reflects calm precision, empathy, and discretion. Every detail is intentional, personal, and unhurried.
- Science, service, and care in harmony.
- Operational Mastery
- We build systems that make precision repeatable, visit after visit, year after year.
- Excellence is engineered.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with advanced training in trauma and EMDR, and I built the emotional health program at Aeternitas from the ground up: its own intake, its own interpretation model, and its own pathway from assessment to action.
The work is grounded in one conviction. Emotional health is not an accessory to longevity care; it is part of the system. How a person processes safety, stress, and change shapes their sleep, their relationships, their decisions, and their ability to stay with a plan when life becomes difficult. A medically sound plan can still fail if it does not fit the person’s identity, values, and capacity for change.
That is the part of medicine I care about most. We do not change simply because we receive better information. We change when the plan connects to who we are, what we value, and the life we are trying to protect. My role at Aeternitas is to help patients close that gap, so the effort of caring for their health becomes something durable rather than one more obligation.

I help people improve their longevity, health, and quality of life through personalized exercise and lifestyle strategies. Whether your goal is to improve your metabolic health, build strength, move with less pain, or stay active and independent as you age, my aim is to help you create a plan that fits your life and supports your long-term health.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in exercise science and my master’s degree in kinesiology, and I am certified as an exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Over the past five years, I have worked in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, occupational health, and preventive health services, helping people improve their health through evidence-based exercise and lifestyle interventions.
What drew me to this field was the impact exercise had on my own life. From playing soccer growing up to competing in powerlifting today, exercise taught me discipline, resilience, and confidence. Over time I came to see it as one of the most powerful tools we have for preventing disease, improving quality of life, and extending healthspan. That belief, that exercise is medicine, continues to guide my work with patients every day.
When I work with patients, I meet you where you are and build practical, sustainable strategies that fit your goals, abilities, and life. The aim is not simply to improve a number on a test, but to help you move better, feel better, and keep the physical capacity to enjoy life for years to come. Lasting health is not built through perfection. It is built through consistency, and small actions repeated over time can change the long arc of your health.
I live in Charlotte, North Carolina. Outside of work, I enjoy powerlifting, creating fitness content, spending time with family and friends, and continuing to learn about exercise science and longevity.

I am the registered dietitian at Aeternitas, where I create comprehensive, evidence-based recommendations to meet your nutrition needs. Nutrition is deeply personal, and there is no one-size-fits-all. I love turning confusing and often contradictory nutrition information into a clear, realistic plan that fits your life and your health goals.
My previous role focused on reactive care, specifically with strokes and cardiovascular events. In that work, I often heard patients say they wished they had learned how to take care of themselves sooner. At Aeternitas, I have the opportunity to equip patients with preventive nutrition knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary team, before those events occur.
I am a Charlotte native, and I completed my dietetic internship at Winthrop University. Outside of work, I love walking my dog, a husky and Pyrenees mix, on local greenways with my husband, reading mystery novels, and trying new restaurants.

At Aeternitas, I work closely with our providers and patients, assisting with laboratory testing, blood draws, and patient care.
In 2018, I graduated from ECPI University in Charlotte with an Associate of Applied Science degree in health science. I began my career at a community health center, where I completed my internship and developed a passion for helping underserved patients, especially Spanish-speaking individuals, navigate their care. Since then, I have worked in family medicine, infectious disease, and now longevity medicine. Working with diverse patients has strengthened my commitment to making people feel comfortable, supported, and never alone in their health journey.
In my current role, I focus on helping patients understand their options and supporting them as they work to improve their health. I value being part of that process and continuing to grow in my work.
When I am not at work, I spend most of my time with my family. I am a mother of two, and I love taking trips and making memories together. I am also closely involved in my church community, which means a great deal to me.

At Aeternitas, I am responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly throughout the practice. Whether you are an employee, a patient, or a vendor, my day is spent making sure you feel comfortable, heard, and accommodated, so that all the right pieces come together to make our work a success.
When Dr. Helton first told me about the practice, I was struck by the level of care that would be available to every patient. By building a clinic that is not beholden to corporate metrics or unattainable quotas, I knew we would be able to treat every patient with intentional care and respect, and I wanted to be part of creating that environment.
My professional background spans the arts, education, real estate, and more, and it is that variety of experience that lets me function within Aeternitas effectively. Every step along the way has given me insight into how people live, communicate, and connect, and that eye for connection and trust shapes how I carry myself and how we run things day to day.
When I am not at work, I enjoy quiet days in Huntersville with my wife and our animals: reading fantasy novels, playing card games, and catching as many movies as we can. I have always said my mother never met a stranger in her life, and it is that openness and connection I strive for with everyone who walks through our door.
Start with an assessment
Three assessments, three depths. Each one is complete on its own. A physician reads every report, and you leave with a written next step. If our clinical team finds a service is not right for you, you can move what you paid to a better fit or take a full refund.
