Questions worth asking.

Plain answers to the questions people ask before they book. What each path includes, how long it takes, and what happens if we find something serious.

Choosing a path

Whether this is for you, and how the three paths differ.

I already have a doctor. Why would I need this?

You can keep your doctor. A test, assessment, or 12-week program does not replace anyone. You leave with your numbers, a physician-reviewed report, and a written next step, and the report is yours to share. Membership is different. There, Dr. Helton becomes your primary care physician, and you do not need to keep another one.

Is this a wellness clinic or functional medicine?

No. Aeternitas is a physician-led, longevity-focused medical practice. It is not alternative medicine. Every test we run has a reason, and every reason is backed by science. We do not order a long list of labs hoping something turns up, and we do not chase a single "root cause" when medicine cannot name one. We use the best evidence available, and we follow it further than a standard checkup does. When the guidelines run out and you are the person in the room, a physician uses judgment. That is the difference. Dr. Helton reviews every report before you see it. We name what we measure, and we do not promise outcomes.

What is the difference between Measure, Implement, and Membership?

Measure is one-time testing and assessment: you leave with numbers and a written plan. Implement is a 12-week program with a named clinician and a closing reassessment. Membership is a year of primary care with Dr. Helton, in three tiers. You buy each on its own. None requires membership, and none requires another.

I am not sure where to start. Can I talk to someone first?

Start at Choose Your Assessment. It compares the three longevity assessments, what each includes, and which membership each leads to. If you would rather talk it through, call or email us and we answer within one business day. If your question is medical, you can ask for a brief conversation with Dr. Helton. Neither is required. You can book online without either.

Measure

Testing, results, and what happens when a number needs attention.

I feel fine. Do I need the bigger assessment?

Feeling well and knowing your numbers are two different things, and only you can decide how deep you want to look. Core answers what your labs and a physician exam say, in about an hour. Comprehensive adds the whole team in one day. Advanced adds what one visit cannot show: your arteries, your genes, a month of glucose, and your sleep. Start where you are comfortable. At your results visit, Dr. Helton tells you what he would do next.

Why not just order these tests myself?

You can, and it is often cheap. An online lab service will draw your blood and send you a report, sometimes with a summary written by AI software. If that is all you want, it is the lowest-cost option. It is rarely the most thorough one. Ordering labs takes judgment too: which tests fit your history, your age, and your goals, and which ones would only add noise. Here, a clinician who has taken the time to know your context chooses the tests, and Dr. Helton reviews every result before you see it. Then someone sits with you and explains what the numbers mean for your health now and in the years ahead, and what to do about it. Health is more than data. The value is knowing what to do with it.

What happens if you find something serious?

Dr. Helton reviews every report before it reaches you. If a result is critical or alarming, our team escalates it to him the same business day, and we call you with a specific next step. You are never left with a number and no one to explain it. Dr. Helton is a board-certified family physician and is experienced with identifying and disclosing serious matters. Working with Aeternitas means having someone you can trust in your corner in the face of concerning findings.

When do I get my results?

Test and focused-assessment reports arrive within a few days of your last visit. The longevity assessments end with a results visit with Dr. Helton, scheduled once your results are back. Timelines are targets. They depend on scheduling, records, and lab turnaround.

Does an assessment include treatment or prescriptions?

No. An assessment ends with your written plan. It does not include prescriptions or primary care, and it does not start an ongoing care relationship. Ongoing care is what Membership is for. At the results visit, Dr. Helton tells you whether a membership fits, and which one.

Why does the Comprehensive take a whole day?

Because the whole team sees you. About 5 hours at the clinic covers expanded labs, VO₂ max, a movement screen, a nutrition review, cognitive and hearing screens, and a resting ECG. Then Dr. Helton and four specialists sit down together on your case and bring it into one plan. One day replaces months of separate appointments.

Can I start with Core and move up later?

Yes. If you choose a deeper assessment or a higher tier before your clinic day, we add the extra work and you pay the difference. If you decide later, we schedule only the parts you have not done yet. Testing you have already completed is never repeated, and you are never charged twice for the same work.

Can a test or assessment count toward something bigger?

Yes. A VO₂ Max Test credits in full toward the Baseline or the Precision Fitness Assessment for 14 days after your report. The fitness and nutrition assessments each credit toward their matching 12-week program for 30 days. The three longevity assessments count toward their matching membership when you enroll within 90 days of your final results and plan.

Is your body composition scan a DEXA?

DEXA is coming to Aeternitas. Until then, body composition testing uses multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA). BIA is not DEXA. Anyone who purchases an assessment that includes BIA before DEXA arrives receive one complimentary scan when it is live.

Do I need a referral or a doctor's order?

No. You book and pay online. No referral, order, or consultation is needed first. A short intake and safety screen follows, and our clinical team orders what your service includes.

Implement

The 12-week programs: why they hold, and what they ask of you.

I've tried programs before and they faded. Why would this be different?

Three reasons. You start with a measured baseline, not a guess. A named clinician builds your plan from it and checks in with you every week. In week 12 you retest, so you see what changed instead of wondering. You still do the work. We make sure it is the right work, and that it gets measured. Plus we keep you accountable along the way and a physician is involved as well.

How will I know it worked?

You retest in week 12 against your own baseline, and your closing review reports what changed and what to do next. We measure and help you implement. You still have to put in the work. We can't promise outcomes but we are on your team to help you achieve your goal using the best science available.

What if a program is not the right care for me?

Your clinician completes a fit review before your first visit. If the program is not the right care, you choose a transfer to a better-fitting service or a full refund.

How much of my time does it take?

It depends on the program, and each card lists it. The aerobic program is a written check-in every week and a live review every two weeks, and you train on your own or with a coach. The nutrition programs are live visits and written check-ins over twelve weeks. Focused therapy is one 90-minute session a week.

Membership

A year of primary care with Dr. Helton, and how you get in.

Why not just buy the assessment and the programs I want?

You can, and many people do. Membership adds the part you cannot buy one at a time: a year of primary care with a physician who has read all of it. It also brings member pricing on every test, assessment, and program. Foundation includes one program. Momentum includes exercise and nutrition support all year. And what you paid for your assessment counts toward it.

What does membership include?

A year of primary care with Dr. Helton: medication management, sick visits and follow-ups as clinically directed, referrals, and coordination. Each tier adds its own planned rhythm of reviews and team contact. The full comparison is on the membership page.

How often will I actually see Dr. Helton?

As often as your health needs it. There is no set visit count and no per-visit fee. Sick visits and follow-ups happen when they are clinically needed, and he manages your medications from your own labs. Each tier adds its own planned rhythm on top: Foundation adds one 12-week program, and Momentum adds quarterly check-ins with the whole team.

Does membership replace my primary care doctor?

Yes. In every tier, Dr. Helton is your primary care physician. You do not need to keep another one. Our team is available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We do not provide after-hours, on-call, or emergency coverage.

How do I enroll, and how does my assessment count?

Every membership begins with its matching assessment, so your care starts from your own results. Buy the assessment online, complete it, and receive your results and written plan. If you enroll within 90 days of receiving them, what you paid for the assessment counts toward your membership; the exact figures are confirmed at enrollment. You then sign the 12-month agreement and pay the remainder quarterly or in full. There is no monthly billing; the monthly figure on the membership page is for comparison only. Dr. Helton confirms every enrollment through your assessment.

What if I change my mind?

Buying an assessment and joining a membership are two separate decisions. You buy the assessment first. It is complete on its own, and you owe nothing more. After your results visit, if a membership fits, we offer it to you, and what you paid for the assessment counts toward it. You can say no and keep your results and your plan. If you say yes, you sign a 12-month agreement, and that commitment stands for the year. One exception: if you choose to enroll early, before your results visit, and then change your mind, we refund the membership portion you paid, less any care already delivered.

How many new members do you accept?

Twelve each month. Anchor is limited to four starts per month and 20 active members during its pilot.

Booking, policies, and safety

Payment, refunds, hours, and emergencies.

How do booking, cancellation, and refunds work?

Every Book Now button opens our booking window. Pick your time and pay in full; prices are the same everywhere, with no hidden fees at checkout. Each service shows its cancellation and rescheduling policy when you book. If you cancel before your service begins, you receive a full refund. If our clinical team declines a service for fit or safety, you choose a transfer or a full refund. Work that has already been delivered is not refunded.

Is Aeternitas an emergency service?

No. We operate during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911. Members receive written urgent and emergency instructions at enrollment.

Start with an assessment.

It is complete on its own. You leave with your numbers and a written plan. If you join a membership within 90 days, what you paid counts toward it.
